Tribal Weapons

The Tribal Weapons are crafted by the Rilekuei, a species of lizardmen created by the goddess Diem. They were both her second creation of life, and the second species of land dwellers. Originally divided into many tribes, eventually three became dominant through conquest. When the final three tribes united, the country of Rhasaris was founded. Located on the continent of Palatan it sits in the southern most region. Even in unity the pride and spirit of the tribes is still alive and well. In order to truly reflect their culture as a whole, each tribe lent a hand in the process of making these weapons.

The Raschi tribe chose a type of stone called Luhiar. It was selected for its color, an earthy green. Also because it is strong and hearty, but can be carved and shaped with relative ease. A reflection of their values and fayth in the natural world, it was deemed to be the best representation of their tribe.

The Sarihs tribe chose another type of stone called, “Syaelium.” Known for their prowess and knowledge of the battlefield, they had often used Syaelium ore to forge their weapons, and even parts of armor. Quarried in the nearby Syaelaru Hills, it is shaped and tempered for support and blades of the weapons.

The Tochaei tribe chose wood from the Ibyks tree. Found heavily in the marshes, rainforests, even in the desert of Palatan. They thought it possessed magical properties due to its ability to survive in such varied and harsh environments. Valued for its smoothness and lightweight, it was the perfect base for the weapons.

Once the three basic materials had been selected, the council went to work to create a set that would reflect all three tribes. Since each had contributed something integral to their own way of life, it was decided the design could not be finished until an element of all three tribes was introduced. This came in form of wrappings, writing upon blades, and feathers. Each piece symbolizes parts of their culture they had all depended on, law, religion, and nature, respectively. The completed weapons are symbolic as one of the first accomplishments as a united country.
